Mike Goulet, one of our pastors, is in the midst of the toughest days of the fight for his life… literally. For the past few months he’s been in and out of UCSD due to leukemia.
And, despite his fight, this is the message that apparently so many of us need to learn from this walk that Mike is taking:
Which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life’s span? Matthew 6:27
You can read more on Pastor Mike’s blog here. It’s inspiring, challenging stuff. Go ahead, I dare you.
This week he receives a few final days of chemotherapy that will in effect kill his existing bone marrow. And a few days from now he will be receiving his bone marrow transplant.
Please join Mike’s community in prayer. His friends, family, congregation… we’re all praying! Please be a part of this effort to encourage and support the Goulet family by keeping them in your prayers over the next few weeks… but especially this week.
- Please pray for his family: his kids, his wife, his extended family
- Please pray for his physicians, his nurses and other doctoral staff that will be touching him this week
- Please pray for all to go smoothly with treatments and transplant
- Please pray for Mike’s mental and spiritual fortitude
Thank you, to those of you who read this blog but don’t know Mike … thank you. From the bottom of my heart… thank you for praying for my friends. My heart is forever grateful.
